Abdul Qadir was a contestant in the Bantamweight division on the Al Academiya reality show. He competed against 29 other fighters for a chance to win a Desert Force contract. He would face off against the Egyptian prospect Mohamed "Ziko" Ali for his fight to enter the house and win by close Decision. After the fight Abdul Kadir became a fan favorite but would have to leave the show because he broke his hand in the fight.
